Senior Estimator

**Location: Pendeford, Wolverhampton.**

Are you an established Senior Construction Estimator with a flair for achieving success in Residential, Industrial, and Commercial projects? SWG Construction is seeking an experienced Estimator to strengthen our team, aid in securing new build and refurbishment contracts, and contribute significantly to a growing company that offers office-based or flexible working arrangements.

**Qualifications**: An applicable degree in construction or a related field, either finished or ongoing and or highly experienced in a similar role.
- A minimum of five years experience as an Estimator with a principal contractor in the UK.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Examine tender documentation, including drawings and technical documents, to prepare precise, detailed estimates.
- Arrange subcontract and supplier packages, including take-offs, and liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to address queries.
- Organise and conduct site visits, communicating with clients, colleagues, and suppliers.
- Evaluate cost factors, such as production time, materials, equipment, and labour costs, to optimise profitability.
- Cooperate with consultants, clients and contractors to ensure project success.
- Review subcontractor and supplier quotes to meet pricing requirements.
- Offer cost-effective, value-engineered suggestions and submit tenders.
- Transfer successful projects to the construction team.

**Skills/Experience**:

- Skilled in Excel and a familiarity with Causeway estimating software (preferred).
- Capacity to work independently, handle multiple projects, and meet stringent deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective liaison with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- A minimum of five years experience as an Estimator for a general contractor in the UK is required.
