An excellent opportunity for a Supplier / Commercial Manager to manage a diverse and interesting range of goods and services for this massive utilities’ provider. Majority of role will be home based
As a Supplier / Commercial Manager you will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of suppliers/contracts/projects as well as supporting other Supply Chain areas as required. This will involve engaging with the relevant stakeholders to understandthe business strategies and provide support to the business on contractual and commercial matters.
To undertake and review Supplier Market analyses for the categories under your control to ensure that the risk is identified and managed to acceptable levels; ensure that the supplier base is fully understood and that appropriate relationships are developedwith our key suppliers to maximize relationship benefits. Ensuring that the business support teams such as Legal, are involved and contributing to the delivery of the portfolio and manage the workflow to ensure that the relevant processes are carried out ina timely manner to meet the business expectations.
To develop a supplier base that is appropriate to the size and complexity of the organisation and mitigates the supplier risk in a suitable manner. Ensure that third party suppliers and contractors both understand and work in alignment with our health, safety,environment and quality practices and standards. As well as ensuing that suppliers deliver the expected goods and services to the required quality in a timely manner and at the agreed costs; manage exceptions effectively and ensure mitigating actions are putin place and followed.
You will ideally be from a Construction, Oil & Gas or Utilities background, preferably with CIPS.
Home based with infrequent visits to their London or Surrey offices.
