We are looking to recruit a competent and friendly individual to join our expanding team as a Sales Estimator. You will be working in an office environment, as part of the office team.

As a Sales Estimator there will be many opportunities to gain experience across our sales and technical departments. At TH Plastics, you can use this opportunity to develop and become a valuable member of our team. This is the perfect opportunity for someone with an engineering background wanting to transition into technical sales.

You will be part of a growing business and friendly team in an office environment, so it is essential that you are well mannered and approachable. Excellent computer and mathematical skills are a big part of the role, as well as an engineering background to draw on for designing customer proposals. Written and spoken communication skills are very important along with attention to detail. The ability to read and interpret technical data and drawings will be essential in this role.

Most of your work will be within the office environment, however, there are going to be occasions when onsite presence is needed. This will further enhance your understanding of the solutions we provide, whilst giving you the chance to meet our customers face-to-face and understand some of the requirements for your main duties. It is therefore essential that you hold a current and clean UK driving licence.

Further opportunities for visits to trade shows in the UK and Europe are available to broaden your understanding of the industry, as well as training at with our partners in Italy and Sweden.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and design engineering quotation proposals, BOMs and necessary calculations for specifying solutions.
- Organise priorities with a focus on quotation turnaround for customers.
- Prepare printed and electronic quotation packs with key information for external sales presentations.
- Support customer and engineering team in terms of assistance and production drawings.
- Liaising with suppliers for technical support and equipment quotations.

**Other Responsibilities**:

- Making and answering phone calls.
- Processing sales technical requests.
- Inputting and dealing with information on a database.
- Preparation of sales order, project and training packs for customers and TH engineers.
- Workload organisation and prioritisation is important.
- Communication with colleagues to set priorities.

**Key Objectives**:

- Support the internal and field sales teams by providing capex machinery and project quotations.
- Support technical sales processes by gathering data and liaising with suppliers.
- Prioritise quotation deadlines and assist with technical tasks.

**Requirements**:

- GCSE Mathematics and English - strong Mathematic ability is essential.
- Background in engineering - mechanical or electrical
- Experience in use of computer programs such as MS Office and database systems. AutoCAD or similar would be a bonus.
- Good time keeping skills.
- Specifying equipment suitability at quoting and ordering stages by using mathematical calculations.
- Excellent communication skills and commercial awareness.
- Ability to cope with changing demands of the department and be flexible within the role.
- A clean UK driving licence is preferred for onsite training experiences.

**Package**:

- £30,000 / annum.
