Telephone Interviewer

We are looking for a market researcher to conduct in-depth interviews with businesses over the telephone, guiding respondents through a set of questions. You will be responsible for accurately recording the results and responses of your interviews. Leading Edge abides by the strict guidelines laid down by the Market Research Society, meaning that the interviews conducted by our telephone interviewers are purely for research purposes - there is no sales or marketing involved. Within the role there will also be a requirement to provide administration assistance for individual projects and other functions within the organisation such as database management.
- Experience in business-to-business market research and any exposure to the construction sector would be beneficial but is not essential.
- You should have an enquiring mind - every project is different, and you will need to quickly understand the markets in which our clients operate.
- As well as a polite, friendly, and confident telephone manner you will need to be self-motivated, organised and reliable. Being able to build a rapport with respondents is a real benefit and will help you achieve successful interviews.
- Listening skills are particularly important as your role will require you to listen to a respondent and probe for further detail whilst keeping the conversation on track and in line with the questionnaire.
- Excellent command of the English language, spelling, grammar, and keyboard skills.
- Accuracy is a key skill spanning the role both in capturing respondent feedback and during data entry.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office functions in particular Excel and PowerPoint

Location, pay and conditions
- Office based in Hartley Wintney, with parking available.
- Casual contract, part time.
- Average expectation would be around 10 - 15 hours per week, ideally across 2 days during office hours. We are fairly flexible in hours and can fit in with school holidays, childcare requirements etc.
- £13.50 per hour including holiday allowance.
