**HR Assistant **| Home Made**

This role will report directly to the Head of People & Operations - we're looking for something who is excited by the opportunity to develop and scope to get stuck in more broadly than a standard assistant role.

**Set up**: 9am-6pm Mon-Friday

Office based role (Southwark), 1 day a week Work From Home post onboarding

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Recruitment and Onboarding**:

- Assist in drafting and posting job advertisements on various platforms.
- Conduct initial phone screenings and schedule interviews with hiring managers.
- Prepare and manage onboarding materials and conduct orientation sessions for new hires.
- **Employee Relations**:

- Act as a point of contact for employee queries and provide support on HR policies and procedures.
- Assist in organizing employee engagement activities and events.
- Help address employee concerns and escalate issues as needed.
- **HR Administration**:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of HR documents, such as employment contracts, letters, and memos.
- Support payroll processing by collecting and verifying timekeeping information.
- **Payroll**:

- Prepare and process payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to payroll-related inquiries.
- Collaborate with finance to ensure timely and accurate payment of wages.
- **Learning & Development**:

- Assist in identifying training needs and developing training programs.
- Coordinate and schedule training sessions, workshops, and seminars.
- Track and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and suggest improvements.
- **Performance Management**:

- Help coordinate performance review processes and track completion.
- Assist in the implementation of employee development programs.
- **Compliance**:

- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of reports required by regulatory agencies.
- **HR Projects**:

- Participate in HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving HR processes and employee experience.
- Support the HR team in implementing new HR tools and technologies.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree or demonstrated equivalent HR experience
- Minimum of 6 months-2 years of experience in an HR Assistant or similar role.
- Familiarity with HRIS, payroll systems, and recruitment tools.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Basic knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
