The post holder will support the Undergraduate Manager/Undergraduate Leads and will administer and co-ordinate the programmes of Undergraduate Education for years 3, 4 and 5 medical students from various British medical schools, as well as clinical placements and shadowing opportunities for sixth form students.
- To regularly organise complex educational programmes for Years 3,4 and 5 medical students from medical schools - continually requiring updating and changing due to developments in external guidelines and policies from medical schools
- To clearly explain complex mandatory educational requirements and issues to medical students
- To support and co-ordinate medical school visits and inspections working alongside with the UG Manager
- To implement mandatory changes from external educational organisations quickly and effectively to comply with medical / foundation school deadlines and directives
- To establish a schedule, make appropriate appointments and maintain electronic records of:

- Induction
- Rotations and timetabling
- Developmental meetings
- Competence assessments
- Arranging teaching session and monitoring attendance
- Accommodation arrangements
- Academic year planning
- To carry out an initial induction of medical students and prepare reports accordingly for UG Manager, UG Clinical Tutor and Leads.
- To prepare reports, surveys, questionnaires, etc. as required
- To work closely with UG Manager / Leads and hospital consultants, ensure quality control standards are developed and maintained
- To plan OSCEs and teaching sessions for medical students whilst on placement
- To organise reservations of on-site student accommodation and liaise closely with Trust accommodation officer.
- Organise work experience for 6th Form and college students from the local area.

The post-holder works with the Undergraduate Manager, Undergraduate Leads, PGME and WHEC staff and other UHSussex staff to ensure UHSussex delivers the Service Level Agreement with Southampton and Brighton and Sussex Medical Schools. The post holder organises and co-ordinates the educational programme for Years 3, 4 and 5 medical students taking a placement at the Trust. They have contact with over 190 medical students per year co-ordinating with other departments to organise their induction, arranging their accommodation and dealing with their enquires for the duration of their stay. They work closely with the Undergraduate Manager and Accommodation Manager to arrange accommodation and maintain accurate records of rotations, student information and educational supervisors.

The post-holder co-ordinates and administers the OSCEs examinations within WHEC in collaboration with the medical schools.
