**The opportunity**

The Hire Desk Controller is a vital part of operations on the front line of sales and customer service. Relationship building is the key to success, as the Hire Controller coordinates the entire hire process from taking the order through to delivery and collection, liaising with customers and suppliers to ensure expectations are met and that “best in class” service is provided.

**The role and tasks**
- Complete end to end support of all Plant Hire booking tasks, including sourcing of plant hire equipment from our dedicated plant supplier network, producing bespoke quotations and delivery schedules, compliance paperwork chasing and VOR co-ordination to maximise uptime through to collection.
- First point of escalation for plant-based operational concerns, including investigation for customer or supplier queries, providing first time resolution and exception customer experience.
- Maintain positive relationships with customers and suppliers by displaying extensive knowledge of Nexus Plant, our services, and the rental sector to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction
- Coordinate with our dedicated plant supplier network to ensure booking fulfilment is on time and all equipment is compliant through to collection.
- Escalate immediately any issue deemed detrimental to the company or in possible breach of Health and Safety regulations to the line manager.
- Actively contribute towards achieving our Plant Hire Desk targets through best practice sharing and building strong relationships with your peers and supply network.
- Direct reporting line into operational Team Leader with wider support from our divisional leader, who will provide plant division feedback and support in role direction.

**About you**

The role of Hire Desk Controller will require:

- Excellent understanding of Customer Service, with a desire to provide the very best service.
- Existing Plant Hire Industry / Product Knowledge in a similar Hire Desk Controller role.
- Strong planning and organisational skills.
- Excellent IT skills
- Professional attitude and confident in communicating with customers at all levels.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and to set deadlines with disciplined time management.
- Proactive problem solver with an enthusiastic can-do attitude.
- Excellent multi-tasking skills.
- Team player.
- Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to support colleagues across the operation.

**Salary**: £22,440.00-£26,180.00 per year
