**Café Lead: £21,000 to £22,500 per annum**
We are Mantra Learning, the UK’s leading Logistics learning and development organisation. Mantra has supported the skills needs of the logistics sector for over 54 years and is an Ofsted rated grade 2 independent training provider. The Manchester site is well established as the largest specialist logistics training facility in the UK.
Our organisation provides training for people at all levels from supporting individuals to gain work to developing senior managers. We also strive to improve learners’ life prosects by offering programmes such as mental health and wellbeing, digital skills, English and Maths
Through our two key brands of The Job Gym and The National Logistics Academy and utilising several different types of government funding that we have successfully secured, we help thousands of learners each year to gain new skills.
We work with some of the biggest brands in the country, including Aldi, Wincanton and AO, delivering approximately 400 Apprenticeships, over 2500 Large Goods Vehicle licences and 1,100 Forklift Truck licences each year.
**The role**:
The primary focus of the Café Lead role is to provide a healthy snack and meal service to learners and employees on-site. Menu design, stock ordering and replenishment, managing payment receipts and ensuring a professional and clean canteen environment are other areas of focus. Providing support to the site facilities team with hygiene related activities will also be required.
**Your duties include but are not limited to**:
- Ensures compliance with health and safety, food hygiene and COSSH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations at all times.
- Preparation of healthy meals and snacks items.
- Compiling daily menus and displaying them in visible locations.
- Orders stock on-line for sale to learners and employees in accordance with forecasted site attendance.
- Ensures a professional and clean working environment.
- Replenishes stocks of tea, coffee, sugar and milk in drinks areas.
- Replenishes vending machine with drinks and snacks.
- Manages all payment receipts from learners, employees and visitors. Facilitates the transition from cash to card only payments.
- Receives feedback and makes improvements as required.
- Ensures effective stock control for all café related items and products.
- Provides hospitality to visitors, ensuring they are hosted appropriately.
- Conducts daily cleaning activities for the café and other areas.
- Delivers social value by presenting cooking classes aimed at creating budget meals.
- Collaborates with the FSSO team to ensure the site is clean and tidy.
**Experience**:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a canteen/kitchen environment.
- Previous Customer Service experience.
- Previous experience in a facilities environment (preferred).

**Education and Knowledge**
- Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Qualification in Facilities (preferred)

- £21,000 - £22,500 (pro rata)
