**The Role**

This role is mobile working in the Lancashire and Liverpool City Region to support construction businesses to access the people, skills and training they need. The work in this area in shared with four other team members.

You will be the CITB engagement adviser establishing effective relationships at local levels. You will engage with employers and a targeted range of local employer groups, training providers, local decision makers, stakeholders and partners to deliver CITB’s strategic and business plans.

You will have lead responsibility for relationships with employers and employer groups and will support them to:

- encourage them to attract people to the construction industry.
- Ensure their workforce is skilled through apprenticeships or other suitable training routes.
- Take part in CITB funded and CITB supported programmes.

You will gather employer insights, market intelligence and reporting engagement activity into the business.

You will communicate key messages regarding apprenticeships, skills, training, CITB and other partner offers to employers, employer groups, local partners and networks through face to face and online channels.

**About you**

Educated to a minimum of A Level (or Scottish equivalent SCQF level 6) you are a creative, innovative thinker with a track record of encouraging others to adopt new ways of working with a range of different stakeholders and partners. You’ll bring good knowledge of apprenticeships, education and skills programmes and their funding mechanisms to the role. We expect you to have experience of managing and delivering successful projects in a collaborative way. Experience of delivering inspiring presentations, organising events and business planning is essential. You will be able to build relationships and influence people at a senior level..

Ability to work from home ensuring confidential information is protected at all times
