Due to the expansion of our nursery, we are ideally looking for an experienced and very reliable individual to join our team, initially on a relief basis. We would also consider applicants who wish to undertake an 'on the job' SVQ3 qualification.
**Role Description**
- Ensuring the health, safety and well being of the children.
- Providing high quality care and education to children from 3 months to 5 years.
- Working well as part of a team.
- Contributing towards development and care records for children.
- Promoting positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
- Participating in daily tasks such as food preparation, cleaning and record keeping.
**Key skills**
- Kind, nurturing, sensitive and friendly nature.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience in a childcare or educational setting.
- Good knowledge of 'Pre-birth to Three' document, Realising the Ambition and 'Curriculum for Excellence'.
**Job Type**: Relief, initially, to cover staff holidays, training, lunch breaks, sickness, etc. We also have a vacancy working 2 full days per week in our babyroom to cover maternity leave.
Applicants who wish to undertake an SVQ3 'on the job' qualification will also be considered.
**Salary**: From £9.90 per hour for fully qualified applicants.
**Job Type / Category**
The position will require you to work initially on a relief basis, between the hours of 8am-6pm Monday to Friday. We are open for 50 weeks of the year, closing annually for almost 2 weeks over Christmas and New Year and on Easter Monday.
**Required Education, Skills and Qualifications**
Preferred to have a minimum of HNC or SVQ3 in a Childcare related discipline.
