Handyperson/driver

JOB TITLE: Handyperson/Driver (Part Time, 21 hours)

(some flexibility on days except Wednesday)

RESPONSIBLE TO: Caring Hands Project Manager

SALARY: £10.90 Per Hour (Real Living Wage)

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
To provide a good quality of handyperson services to Caring Hands Beneficiaries by carrying out decorating, gardening, and light household repairs.

SUMMARY OF MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following list is typical of the level of duties which the post holder will be expected to undertake. It is not exhaustive and other similar duties may be required from time to time.
- Scheduling jobs and contacting clients accordingly.
- Maintaining a store of appropriate tools on the projects behalf.
- Collect and report back feedback from the beneficiaries to administration staff.
- Promote/publicise other services as and when appropriate.
- Driving duties including small van for laundry collection duties (van hired by us).
- Attend any training deemed necessary by the Trustees and/or the Project Manager.

**Requirements**:

- Full UK driving license is essential.
- Own vehicle (car/van) to travel to and from jobs.
- Undertake minor repairs and maintenance tasks as directed, including painting, basic carpentry, and general upkeep of household and garden.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of equipment, ensuring availability for routine tasks and emergencies.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring safe working practices are followed at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs and reports.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to queries and requests from colleagues and beneficiaries in a professional and friendly manner.

Skills required: problem-solving, communication skills, customer service, team-working, ability to multi-task.
