Café Assistant

**About Us**

BG’s Country Store and Café is a rural department store focusing on the finest foods, exciting gifts and all of your pet and equine needs.

BG’s Café was opened in July 2013 as an extension to our Country Store.
We offer an extensive selection of hot drinks along with a refreshing choice of cold beverages.

**The Role**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Work as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of the café.
- Take customer orders in the café.
- Serve food and make and serve quality hot drinks.
- Operate the till and handle cash in line with company procedures
- Clear tables and café floor area.
- Follow all relevant hygiene, Health & Safety procedures.
- Carry out any cleaning duties as and when required.

**Key Requirements**
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Reliable and flexible and able to keep calm under pressure
- A positive attitude and able to take instruction
- Basic knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene would be an advantage

**Salary**: Minimum Wage

**Hours**: 34 hours per week between Monday to Sunday on a shift pattern, 9am-4pm.

**Location**: Biggleswade, Bedfordshire
