Leadership and Management: The HOD will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the Music department. This may include overseeing the curriculum, managing budgets, supervising staff, and coordinating with other departments.
- Curriculum Development: The HOD will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Music curriculum, ensuring that it is up-to-date, relevant, and meets the needs of students.
- Teaching and Learning: The HOD will be responsible for ensuring that teaching and learning in the Music department is of a high standard. This may involve observing lessons, providing feedback to teachers, and implementing strategies to improve student outcomes.
- Assessment and Evaluation: The HOD will be responsible for ensuring that assessment and evaluation practices in the Music department are rigorous and effective. This may involve developing assessment criteria, analyzing data, and implementing interventions to improve student performance.
- Professional Development: The HOD will be responsible for ensuring that staff in the Music department have access to high-quality professional development opportunities, and for facilitating the sharing of best practices among staff.
- Student Support: The HOD will be responsible for ensuring that students in the Music department receive appropriate support and guidance, particularly in relation to academic progress, wellbeing, and career planning.
- Community Engagement: The HOD will be responsible for fostering strong relationships with the wider community, including parents, local businesses, and other educational institutions. This may involve organizing concerts, performances, and other events that showcase the talents of the Music department.

**Salary**: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
