Cardiac Rehabilitation Exercise Practitioner

An exciting opportunity as arisen for a part time Cardiac Rehabilitation Exercise Professional to join the forward thinking, motivated and supportive ABUHB Cardiac Rehabilitation service on a fixed term post to cover maternity leave.

Maintain safe and effective group exercise sessions for patient with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions, working within the standards set by the BACPR.
Formulate, risk stratify and deliver individual and group exercise plans, programmes and recommendations for patients based on highly developed specialist knowledge, clinical assessments and reasoning skills utilising evidence based practice.
To undertake autonomous appropriate functional testing assessments both pre and post Cardiac Rehabilitation and interpret results in order to guide safe individualised exercise prescription. Evaluate the effectiveness of exercise and physical activity prescription using observational methods and outcome measures and adjusting treatment plans appropriately.
To promote and participate in audit outcomes through NACR. Undertaking where necessary research to assist in the service delivery and own clinical practice.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
