**Primary Job Purpose**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Person to join our Maintenance Team. The successful applicant will assist in maintaining the resort to its highest standard through both planned and reactive maintenance, whilst adhering to Health and Safety and other legal requirements. Supporting the needs of the guests and clients in order to provide safety and the best guest experience.

**About The Role**

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Adhere to company policies and procedures and legislation relating to Health and Safety.
- Communicate maintenance information and issues to the Maintenance Manager on a daily basis.
- Take instruction from the Maintenance Manager regarding any improvements to be made throughout the hotel complex.
- Assist the Maintenance Manager with ensuring the employer property buildings and grounds are kept up
- Follow maintenance schedules as instructed by the Maintenance Manager
- Respond to emergency calls for maintenance issues
- Perform troubleshooting to solve minor repair issues
- Ensure as part of the Maintenance team, you attend internal and external training on an on-going basis, complying with Health and Safety requirements in all areas
- Ensure effective communication and good relations between the Maintenance team and other departments in the hotel.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area.
- Inform the Maintenance Supervisor of any major defects in the building, plant or equipment, which could affect the successful running of the hotel.
- Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely manner and to a high standard.

**Required Criteria**
- Willingness to undertake further training.
- Basic training in Health and Safety including COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health)
- Manual Handling
- Knowledge of general building maintenance of fixtures and fittings
- Experience of working both indoors and outdoors in all types of weather

**Desired Criteria**
- GCSE English and Maths grade 4/C or above
- Hospitality or construction experience.
