This position would suit a young person with lots of energy (but we are not ageist). As part of a very small team, you would need to be proactive and capable of working independently.

This role might also suit two part-time job-sharers.

**Duties**:

- Taking delivery and checking stock items for damage
- fulfillment of orders - arranging shipping and packing items
- coordinating deliveries, tracking orders and dealing with customer queries
- stock control
- ordering supplies
- keeping the workplace tidy
- maintaining a high rate of productivity and cost-effectiveness
- driving/helping with local deliveries
- covering for other staff and carrying out other reasonable additional duties as needed from time to time: for example (but not limited to) helping to restore small items of furniture (with guidance) such as sanding and waxing benches and stripping and polishing metal items; photographing items of furniture.

Driving would be a bonus, but is not essential.

As a minimum, you will need good written and verbal skills, numeracy and computer literacy.

The job requires some lifting of large furniture items so you would need a reasonably good level of fitness - as a guide, you would regularly need to pack garden furniture items which weigh 45kg.

You would be working in a workshop/warehouse, alongside furniture restorers, so the environment is industrial as opposed to office based.
