The post holder will be responsible for the efficient management of the allocated specialty waiting list and maintaining government targets in accordance with the Patient Access Policy. The post holder will be required to work unsupervised and on their own initiative, as well as working as part of team with clinical, management and clerical staff to deliver the highest standards of administrative support possible for patients, hospital staff and any other person their duties bring them into contact with.
- Booking patient surgery for a busy trauma & orthopaedic department
- Ensuring waiting list times are adhered to and liaising with team members to coordinate patient surgery in a timely manner
- Communicating with patients daily, liaising with clinicians and management to ensure we are keeping a tight control over the theatre lists and utilising everything to maximum capacity
- Reception duties as and when required
