This is a multifunctional role to provide administration support to all areas of the People Team and will work alongside another People Team Assistant to provide administrative support to the recruitment, HR and learning and development teams. You will be responsible for ensuring effective and efficient delivery of all day to day admin tasks in these areas.

**Location: Hybrid role, with travel across Essex, London, and the Southeast. (2 days a week at our offices in Chancery lane, London)**
**Hours: 32 hours per week, over 4 days (9am to 5pm Monday to Friday)**
**Pay: £25,000 Per annum Pro Rata (Which equates to £20,000 per annum over 4 days)**
**Contract: Full-time, Permanent**
**People Team Responsibilities**:
- Assist Home Business Administrators, Heads of Departments and team members with various people related queries escalating serious concerns as appropriate to the HR Business Partner.
- Support the Director of People and OD in arranging head office team building events as required.
- Support management teams with good quality note taking at various meetings.
- Support the new starter process and be responsible for the timely issue of system generated reports to the respective home Business Administrator/ HR Business Partner.
- Act as a point of contact for Maternity and Paternity queries and be responsible for the administration of the Maternity, Paternity & Adoption process.
- Manage the administration of the Refer a Friend Scheme providing weekly updates to the HR Business Partner.
- Send New Starters and Leavers Reports to required stakeholders weekly.
- Maintain and update the personnel files for Head Office employees and General/ senior managers, ensuring regulatory compliance is met at all times.
- Assist in carrying out personnel file audits and maintaining and updating files within care homes to ensure regulatory compliance is met at all times.
- Support the new starter process for all Head Office employees including issuing contract paperwork and conducting DBS checks.
- Develop effective relationships within the business to promote good employee relations across the company promoting company values.
- Raise purchase order requests as requested including issuing PO Numbers and monitor the same to ensure these are recorded accurately.
- Contribute and support the continuous improvement of HR systems, practices, and policies in the organisation, ensuring adherence to GDPR.
- Keep up to date with developments in human resources best practice, to ensure continuous improvement and own professional development.
- Attend meetings, briefings, and ad-hoc working groups as required and contribute to the development of the People Team Strategy.
- Undertake other duties from time to time as required.
**Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience**:
**Essential**:
- Previous experience of working within a busy HR environment and high attention to detail.
**Desirable**:
- Knowledge of HR Best Practice.
- Ideally CIPD qualified minimum L3 or genuine interest in Human Resources
- Previous experience of working in an office environment.
**Skills and Competencies**:
**Essential**:
- Computer literate (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
- Strong numeracy skills.
- Strong time management, organisation and prioritisation skills and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to establish** **credibility and respect and be able to build strong working relationships with main stakeholders.
