Hiab Driver

Timber Specialists Huddersfield are looking to recruit a HIAB driver.

Deliveries are on a 18tonne flatbed wagon. The role will involve both deliveries using the HIAB crane and manual drop offs.

The role will involve multiple daily drops with most deliveries being in the local and surrounding areas.

Experience and knowledge of timber products would be an advantage but is not crucial, full training will be provided where required.

The job is a permanent fulltime role of 45 hours per week plus overtime on every other Saturday morning. A competitive salary plus year-end bonuses will be offered.

Hours of work are 7:00am to 4:30pm, there are no night shifts or evening work.
- A current and valid relevant licence (Category C - Class 2)
- Previous delivery driving experience preferred
- Valid Digi Card (Tacho)
- Up to date CPC
- Excellent public/customer relations

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Unloading deliveries to customers, so you need to be comfortable with lifting timber products
- Ensuring delivery paperwork is completed and returned
- Daily vehicle checks
- Picking up goods from suppliers
