Our client, with two well-established offices in the Oldham area, seeks a dedicated Bookkeeper to join their team and assist a diverse range of clients from various industries.
- **Role Overview**:_

As a Bookkeeper at our client's Independent Accountancy Firm, you will play a crucial role in delivering vital financial services to our esteemed clients. Your responsibilities will encompass:

- _Bookkeeping:_ Precisely maintaining financial records, including recording daily financial transactions, reconciling bank statements, and managing accounts payable and receivable.
- _Client Portfolio: _Managing and aiding a portfolio of clients, ensuring their financial data remains current, well-organized, and compliant with accounting standards.
- _Financial Reporting:_ Preparing financial statements, income statements, and balance sheets when required by clients.
- _VAT Returns:_ Supporting in the preparation and submission of VAT returns.
- _Client Communication:_ Establishing and sustaining robust client relationships, addressing inquiries, and providing financial guidance and assistance.
- **Requirements**:_
- Demonstrated experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in an accountancy practice or a similar setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and tools.
- Meticulous attention to detail and precision in financial data entry and reporting.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and spoken, for interactions with clients.
- A commitment to preserving client confidentiality and upholding ethical standards.
