Job description
Pertemps Cambridge are working with a growing removals company looking for experienced small van drivers to progress into HGV driving and removals.
- Full time - Permanent
- Salary - increasing upon training completion (weekly paid)
Monday to Friday. (Occasional Saturdays are required at increased rate) 5am starts, finish times vary depending on the job and can finish late on occasion
Nights away including European nights away (set allowance paid) - on average two nights per week, sleeping within the vehicle bunks
You must have a clean driving licence
Be a conscientious and hardworking team player
Comfortable taking direction from others but also using own initiative
Eye for detail, a problem solver and can remain calm when dealing with customers
Excellent customer service skills
Able to read and write English
Experienced in European driving would be desirable
Looking to move into a trainee HGV driving role
The Role will initially be to undertake the role of a Porter by assisting the team to complete a job satisfactorily
To drive to and from location (long and short distances)
To shadow current Senior Drivers to learn the role, routes and build confidence within both HGV driving and Porter duties
To move and handle customer goods/ household/ personal possessions - physically lifting/ handling - manual labour
