Mitie has a great opportunity for an experienced licenced Security officer, who also has a CCTV licence, to work at New Smithfield Market. You will be contracted to **42 hours a week** with a pay rate of **£12.00 per hour**. You will report to the sites Security Operations Manager and Supervisor. The shift pattern is 4 on, 4 off, working a combination of days and nights.

You will periodically complete a CCTV patrol of the site to check for prohibited behaviour, while the rest of the time you will be supporting the Supervisor on site with completing patrols, searching vehicles and actioning Market Management requests.

**Main Duties**
- Operate all CCTV equipment in accordance with Mitie and MCC codes of practice, all Legal requirements in relation to GDPR, RIPA and current Government and Security Industry legislation.
- Support the Supervisor with the completion of duties on site, including requests from the clients management team for support.
- Use radios, and telephones to provide pro-active and reactive monitoring of CCTV cameras to assist with the detection of crime, antisocial behaviour and to support the reduction of crime, disorder, and the fear of crime.
- Report to the Security Shift Manager - record, report and escalate all sightings and arrests on a regular basis.
- The **Officer** will demonstrate their character as determined, trustworthy, attentive and approachable at all times when welcoming clients and customers.
- The **Officer** will need to be a team player with an enthusiastic attitude.
- The **Officer** should be able to work on own initiative.
- Excellent communication skills is essential (written and verbal).
- Previous security experience is preferred.
- Flexible approach to work to suit the business needs.
- Calm under pressure.
- Understand the Health and Safety at Work Act, relevant Criminal, Civil Law and Police and Criminal Evidence Act.

- Previous Security Experience
- SIA Guarding and CCTV License are required
- SC Clearance desirable
