**Home Care Assistant Job Description**

This is an exciting opportunity to become a Care Professional. You will make a real difference in vulnerable adults' lives with high standards of care by helping them stay in their own homes.

It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join our friendly care team as a home care professional. We'll pair you up with a small group of Clients in your area, and you'll help them live happy, independent lives by providing high-quality care from our person-centred care plan.

The demands of elderly care define the hours of a Home Care Assistant. In general, shift work and irregular unsociable hours, such as nights, weekends, and holidays, are part of the profession.

**Range of Duties for a Home Carer**:

- Assist older individuals with domestic chores.
- Prompting and assisting your customer with their medicine
- Daily living - Assist with getting into and out of the shower, as well as getting dressed.
- Mobility Assistance
- Simple dinner preparation and mild household tasks.
- Companionship, a cup of tea, and a natter are all good ways to improve communication skills.
- Shopping excursions, social calls, appointments, clubs, hobbies, day trips and social activities.

**Previous Care Experience Requirements**

We don't hire based on previous experience or skill level. We want to give our clients the best service possible, and in order to do so, we need to be outstanding individuals with a caring nature. We desire a personal touch from our employees, who treat each client as if they were members of their own family. That's why we don't require our applicants to have any previous caring experience.

Because we care about our Care Professionals, we'll make sure you get all the training requirements and growth you need.
- A valid driver's licence from the United Kingdom is desirable.
- This role is UK based and the right to work in the UK will need to be established as part of the recruitment process.

Home Instead Chingford works with clients with many different conditions, including people with visual impairment, dementia, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. It's really important to be able to build up trust with the household you're visiting so that they feel comfortable opening up and discussing any issues or needs with you.
