**Head of Wills and Probate**

**Location: Birkenhead (Hybrid)**

**Salary: £55,000 - £70,000**
- We are seeking a dynamic Head of Department for our esteemed Wills, Trusts & Probate division. In this pivotal role, you will provide technical expertise, oversee complex administrations, and lead our outstanding, well-established team. _

**Your responsibilities will encompass**:

- Providing comprehensive advice on trusts, estate administration, and tax matters, including offering pro bono legal assistance to union clients.
- Championing best practices and case management standards, ensuring adherence to Lexcel criteria through regular file reviews and effective supervision.
- Cultivating and nurturing relationships with union clients to support strategic growth objectives.
- Collaborating with senior management to devise and execute business strategies aimed at expanding our Wills, Trusts & Probate department and revenue streams.
- Meeting individual and collective billing targets while upholding key performance indicators.
- Generating and presenting insightful reports on case holdings, turnover, billing, and client satisfaction.
- Delivering legal and best practice training to team members and maintaining a repository of template documents.
- Contributing to the firm's Lexcel accreditation through diligent adherence to quality standards.
- Conducting departmental reviews, performance appraisals, and identifying training needs for continuous improvement.
- You will supervise your team in line with our established quality and risk management systems, ensuring regular communication and support from the leadership team. Proactivity, collaboration, and effective communication are paramount traits for success in this role._
