**Job summary**:

- Social Value & Sustainability Lead It’s no longer acceptable to spend public money using a lowest cost mindset. In a world dominated by such pressing issues as climate change, the cost-of-living crisis, modern slavery, sustainability and environmental degradation government procurement must adopt a best value for money approach which delivers more from our suppliers for the benefit of our island. Developing this mindset means fundamental behavioural change by Commercial Services, commissioners, and our supply chain. We’re looking for somebody who is not only passionate about Social Value but has the skills to inspire an organisation.
- You will not only understand the social imperative for change but convert that into compelling financial arguments and behavioural incentives which make realisation of Social Value not just “nice to have” but a fundamental “part of the way we work”. You will have experience working in challenging and changing environments and be able to draw on deep reserves of resilience to influence at all organisational levels. You will be comfortable working with procurement process and documentation, contracts and other technical
- documentation on a day-to-day basis. You are a problem solver, able to
- independently adapt your approach to navigate obstacles to delivering your objectives on time. You will be collating and reporting on the delivery and co-ordination of our Social Value contractual commitments. As well as supporting, shaping, and steering Social Value across all areas of the procurement and contract
- management process.
