Warehouse Person

_**WAREHOUSE PERSON **_
- An opportunity is available for a Warehouse Person at Winterbourne Monkton, working 2pm to 10pm shift 5 months, and 8am to 4pm 7 months of year._

The key objective of the role is to be part of the team that controls the daily activity with regards to stock, orders and warehouse activities and provide an effective point of contact for all warehouse queries. Also to work to agreed procedures and processes once trained to ensure that the warehouse operation delivers a consistent and compliant service.
- **Day to day you will be responsible for**:_
- Carry out your warehouse duties in accordance with the agreed operational procedures and in line with any training given.
- To assist with ensuring that all loads are accurately and securely placed on the vehicle.
- Ensure that all stock is stored in accordance with Company and statutory policies and best practice.
- To work closely and proactively with other key stakeholders, including but not limited to operation, logistics and administration staff, to ensure the warehouse and delivery requirements are met for all customers.
- Support the Logistics Manager with fleet maintenance and records
- Be competent on the Transend system and company IT systems, follow the correct process and procedures
- Assist with managing local inbound product deliveries and product returns.
- To assist with all local material/product disposal adhering to the required and legal standards.
- To assist with monthly stock takes, and report variances and differences with commentary as needed.
- Ensure all customers enjoy a positive customer experience at the trade counter or over the telephone.
- Actively support a safety-first culture and ensure all health and safety polices and procedures are adhered to.
- Maintain all necessary records and standards to ensure the warehouse operates to agreed BASIS and safety standards. [yellow code]
- Any other duties as defined by your Manager including customer deliveries if needed.
- Previous warehouse experience essential
- FLT qualification
- Strong communication and numerical skills - written and verbal
- Good organisation and administration skills
- Excellent customer service skills and knowledge
- Flexibility to work additional hours as the workload demands.
