LANDSCAPING JOINER

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Landscaping joinery role in ASY Garden Services

The role would involve carrying out work including, but not limited to:

- **Hard landscaping -**:

- Paving and cladding (natural stone & porcelain mainly)
- Stone Works - Lime Pointing and walling (block, brick & stone)
- Joinery Work - fencing, decking, pergolas
- **Soft Landscaping -**:

- Artificial/real turfing
- Seeding
- Planting
- **Groundworks and Earthworks -**:

- Excavations
- Drainage
- Concreting
- Monoblocking and Driveways
- **Co-ordination and Procurement**:

- Coordinate the procurement and ordering of all materials from suppliers and scheduled use of resources such as labour, equipment, and materials to ensure maximum use and completion of work within budget, safety guidelines and quality standards
- Ability to keep an accurate track of stock and inventory used on each project
- Co-ordinate plant rentals
- Organisational and planning skills - including supervision of day labourers involved in any projects.
- Willingness to mentor and train new staff.

The role will be physically challenging at times and in all weathers.

Experience of using and maintaining equipment such as excavators, dumpers, tractors, chippers, trailers, smaller plant is required, as is a towing licence, or someone looking to obtain a towing licence in the near future. A clean driving licence is essential.

Our yard is based in Loanhead, you would report here for work at 07:00 and leave to site from there, finishing at 16:00 Monday-Friday. Occasional weekends may be required if specific projects require it.

Part of the businesses success is down to high quality, detail, service and reliability, yet also able to carry out projects quickly and efficiently. The applicant will require these qualities.

Own transport required and driving licence essential to drive company vehicle.

Skills and Experience:

- Turfing: 5 years (preferred)
- Hard landscaping: 5 years (preferred)
- Groundworking: 5 years (preferred)
- Experience of using and maintaining equipment such as excavators, dumpers, tractors, chippers, trailers, smaller plant is required, as is a towing licence, or someone looking to obtain a towing licence in the near future
- Excellent customer relations.
- Ability to provide advice and guidance to customers on all relevant matters.
- Flexibility to undertake a variety of tasks and projects.
- Organisational and planning skills - including supervision of day labourers involved in any projects
- Experience of procurement of materials and plant.

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)
- Towing Licence (required)
- CSCS (required)
- Spraying certificates PA1 and PA6 an advantage.
