**Job Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Provide support to the Chairman and Artistic Director, and other key stakeholders in planning and executing festival activities.
- Develop fundraising strategies and implement fundraising actions to support the festival’s financial goals, including researching potential donors, writing grant proposals, and managing donor relationships, as well as seeking additional sources of funds.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions, sponsorships, and donations, providing finance reports to the Board and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
- Assist in developing ticketing structure/pricing, liaise with (or manage in house) box office operations, and customer enquiries.
- Oversee the company’s overall administrative function, acting as Company Secretary to Ludlow Song
- Liaise with artists, performers, venues and other stakeholders to ensure their needs are met and facilitate smooth communication.
- Attend festival-related meetings and events as required.

**Skills, Knowledge and Experience**:

- Proven experience in festival administration or event management, with a strong understanding of the operational aspects of large-scale events.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of fundraising, grant writing, or donor management, preferably in the arts or non-profit sector.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities concurrently.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and financial information.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficient in using office software (e.g., Microsoft Office suite) and familiarity with fundraising platforms and financial accounting software (eg. Xero, QuickBooks or similar)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and problem-solving attitude.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours during the festival period.
- Passion for the arts and a genuine interest in supporting the festival's mission.
- Ability to travel to/from London for Board Meetings and Ludlow - knowledge of local area (Ludlow) would be useful

**Contract/Location**:
The postholder undertakes the role on a freelance contractor basis (ie. self employed). The main duties may be carried out remotely (at home) but postholder must be able to attend a small number of Board Meetings in London and obviously be on site in Ludlow during the festival itself and for some preparatory site visits.

**Hours and Remuneration**:
Part-time (0.3FTE annualised), at £20k, p.a. pro rata

(Any uplift would be based on performance, funds raised and hours worked)

**Start date**:
From early 2024 (shadow existing Administrator until after LESW-2024 - 12-14 April)
