Material / Polymer Scientist

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Polymer/ Material Chemist to work within their Research & Development department.

**Description**

Managing the product development and technical programs. This includes participating in the planning of R & D programs; conducting and/or supervising R&D projects; providing technical advice and recommend solutions to territory managers to resolve customerrelated issues involving the products and services. Helping with the Lab chemical hygiene plan and monitor safe laboratory practices and procedures; understand and implement the Corporate Quality Policy.

**Qualifications and experience**
- Degree, MSc or PhD in Chemistry, Material Science, or related discipline.
- Good knowledge of how to prepare and process materials for testing purposes.
- Practical Knowledge of chemical synthesis and processes in relation to resins, polymers, additives etc.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related chemical industry
- Project management experience
- Hands-on approach to laboratory work combined with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to write accurate and concise technical reports and presentations.

The Material / Polymer Scientist will be required to assist in developing and implementing lab projects and programs, review current lab programs and project reviews, assist in supervising lab personnel and maintain lab safety and productivity. Also, toprovide technical assistance for customer related issues
