Rutland Hall Hotel & Spa is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our valued team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in managing credit control operations and ensuring the timely collection of outstanding accounts receivable. Your exceptional communication skills will shine as you engage with our timeshare members, building lasting relationships and providing top-notch financial assistance. This is an office-based role, not hybrid or home-working.

**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor and manage credit control activities, diligently following up on outstanding accounts to ensure timely payments.
- Engage with our valued resort members, delivering personalized financial assistance and addressing any inquiries or concerns with utmost professionalism.
- Collaborate with the finance team to maintain accurate financial records and reconcile accounts receivable transactions.
- Prepare and issue statements, invoices, and payment reminders in a timely manner, optimising efficiency in financial operations.
- Proactively identify potential financial risks and contribute innovative ideas for process improvements.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless financial interactions and enhance the overall guest experience.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all financial regulations and compliance standards.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in finance, credit control, or accounts receivable roles.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with resort and team members alike.
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail, ensuring accurate financial records and reports.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office suite.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving, delivering solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data security.

**Our Finance Assistant will ideally have**:

- Part -Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- High level of proficiency in IT with experience of using MS Office and the internet in a work environment.
- Sage 50 experience required.
- Strong organisational skills with a systematic approach to completing tasks.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly and positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
