Monday to Friday, Full time roles. Hours 8.30am - 3.30pm

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for Learning Support Assistants on behalf of a fantastic SEN School in Southampton.

The successful Teaching Assistant will work with the school SENCo and Assistant SENCo to undertake work, care, and support programmes to facilitate learning of students.

The role will entail working with a range of students with complex needs aged in Early Years on both a one-to-one and small group work basis, inside and outside of the classroom.

**Key skills**:

- To have a good knowledge and understanding of complex learning difficulties and social communication needs and appropriate strategies to support pupils with such needs.
- To have knowledge and understanding of social, emotional & mental health needs and cognitive needs, that affect children and young people’s development.
- Excellent listening skills
- An ability to build strong, trusting relationships
- To be resilient and able to take regular responsibility for agreed learning
- Promote and support the inclusion of all pupils in the learning activities
- To use positive and personalised behaviour management strategies

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
