We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. If you have excellent communication skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

**Duties**:

- Greet customers as they enter the store and assist them with any inquiries
- Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently
- Process cash, credit, and debit card transactions using the cash register or POS system
- Maintain accurate cash drawer balances
- Answer customer questions regarding pricing, product availability, and promotions
- Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and well-stocked
- Collaborate with other team members to provide excellent customer service
- Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner
- Follow all company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and customer service

**Skills**:

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate transaction processing
- Basic math skills for calculating totals, providing change, and reconciling cash drawer
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a friendly demeanor
- Strong problem-solving skills to handle customer inquiries or issues
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

**Salary**: £11.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Work Location: In person
