Established in 1993, Toughglaze (UK) Ltd has grown over the years to become a leader in the glass manufacturing and processing industry. Toughglaze is looking for a Account Assistant assistant to start immediately and to work full time, Monday to Friday from 9 to 5 pm.

The Role:
The account assistant’s role involves various tasks related to payment processing, invoice management, and communication with customers and suppliers. Some key responsibilities include:
Ø Handling phone payments: Accepting credit card payments from customers over the phone using a credit card machine.

Ø Entering Proforma payments: Inputting payment information into the system to ensure order processing can take place smoothly.

Ø Proficiency in Excel and Sage Line 50/200: Utilising this software for data management, analysis, and financial reporting purposes.

Ø Recording supplier invoices on Sage: Inputting and maintaining accurate records of supplier invoices in the Sage accounting system.

Ø Preparing supplier payments: Generating payment instructions and managing the process of settling invoices to suppliers.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Ensure a smooth financial operations of an organization, from payment processing to maintaining accurate records and managing communication with relevant management and directors.

2. Ensure accuracy and transparency in financial transactions. Additionally, checking supplier statements against the company's ledger is important to

3. Ensure that all payments and invoices are reconciled, and any discrepancies are addressed promptly.

**Essential Skills & Attributes**:

- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, are also essential in this role to effectively interact with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Numerate and able to use Sage 200 finance administration software package.
- Good secretarial skills and IT literacy including the use of the Microsoft ‘Office’ suite of programs.
- Direct hands-on experience of finance, office administration and/or secretarial roles
- Excellent organisational skills - able to manage themselves and others effectively.
- Comfortable working with others and on their own
- Ability to work with a variety of people including volunteers.
- To maintain ownership of tasks
- Time management to ensure that all your tasks are completed within a timely fashion and ahead of deadline.

**Salary**: £23,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
