General Storesperson (Goods In/Out) - Full Time - Netherley, United Kingdom

Sulzer UK are looking for a Stores Persons to join and strengthen the team at Alba Power in Scotland.

Due to continued growth, we are recruiting for 3 positions, Storesperson - General, Storesperson - Kitting, Storesperson - Goods In/Out. You will be trained in all three areas to ensure that we will build a strong, versatile, and adaptable team. As part of the team, you will be responsible for monitoring the goods in and out of the premises on a day-to-day basis ensuring they are registered, controlled, organised, and distributed in safe, and efficient manner.

**Your main tasks and responsibilities**:

- Carry out Stores duties, ensuring traceability of all items and processing paperwork to the relevant departments
- Check materials to documentation and carry out packing, preservation and prepare for despatch
- Co-ordinate material movements and liaise with relevant departments and transport representatives
- Maintain traceability of all items and process paperwork in line with Company Procedures and Processes.
- Carry out stock audits including involvement with external auditors
- Monitor stock movements, verify and advise stock levels
- Kitting up of jobs using picking lists provided and issuing to production
- Liaising closely with shop floor staff and team leaders for the physical movement of jobs

**To succeed in this role, you will need**:

- Relevant experience within related industry in stores role
- Good written and verbal communication
- Ability to act independently
- Meticulous in their duties
- Flexible approach, team player and ability to work on your own initiative
- Be self-motivated
- Strong organisational Skills
- UK Driving Licence is essential
- Forklift Licence preferable but not essential

**Location**:We are a well-established and progressive workshop based in Netherley, Aberdeenshire. You will be joining a team of 70 experienced and knowledgeable engineers, inspecting, repairing, and overhauling a variety of gas turbine and power turbine models from our purpose-built facilities.
