**Location**: Portsmouth Office Based

**The Client**
My Client is looking for an Event Producer (content writer) to drive the development of the client’s owned event portfolio and meet the growth strategy for the events division through the commissioning and production of events that are complementary to, and fully aligned with, the company strategy.
**About the role**
- To launch and develop a profitable portfolio of owned events in any biomedical areas
- To help refine and improve the Clients business development activities
- Ownership of developing and maintaining a strong and commercially viable pipeline of the future launch programme.
- Create, grow and deliver a portfolio of profitable events (webinars, virtual or live in-person) which increase revenue streams and profitability of the client’s Events division.
- Identify, research and prioritise potential new events for launch, producing fully costed business plans for each
- Develop and refine business models to sustainably increase profitability
- Identifies the strategic positioning of each event in the series in terms of marketing and sponsorship opportunities
- Continually generate new ideas for future events, strategies to grow events, and continue to improve the event experience year on year.
- Commission compelling conference programmes that are topical, relevant and based on industry knowledge and research
- To research and analyse the feasibility of developing potential conference topics into commercially viable events
- Develop and maintain a wide network of potential programme coordinators, facilitators, speakers and chairpersons
- Identifying audiences for each event, and working collaboratively with the marketing team to devise marketing strategies to reach these targets.
- Identifying and advancing potential sponsorship opportunities for each event, collaborating with the corporate sales executive
- Analyse and report on the scope of success for each identified topic area to the Companies Executive team.
- Oversee the operational team working on the delivery of each event in the inaugural year
To ensure that the Clients owned events are attractive to delegates and sponsors and are responsive to their changing needs and the changing environment of educational events
- Accountable for the profit and loss of each individual event in inaugural years as a cost centre.
Manage costs associated with your events, working within budget and timelines
- Demonstrate a high level of communication with team members, other departments and external key stakeholders.
- Manages relationships in a respectful and dignified manner
**Technical Skills**
- Very good interpersonal skills, in terms of dealing with stakeholders, staff and suppliers.
- Very good time management skills and demonstrative ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads
- Very good IT skills in Microsoft Office.
**Experience**
- Proven experience in developing and driving high-quality professional content - event programmes. (desirable)
- Proven and demonstrable experience in relationship management within the biomedical industry
- Demonstrates a commercial mindset is key with the ability to translate research into commercial activities, and speaker content is essential.
- Thinks strategically and actively contributes, champions and shapes future meeting development.
- An individual who is not afraid to take considered and measured risks when necessary with the guidance of the Deputy Managing Director.
- Determination to ensure that the owned event series launch is executed in alignment with the overarching company strategy and the values of the shareholders.
- Effective Team player, but also self-reliant.
- Able to remain calm under pressure.
- Can-do attitude.
- Strong customer focus.
- Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally.
- Valid Passport Holder.
- Driving licence useful but not mandatory.
- A minimum of two years professional b2b content experience
**Salary**: £27,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
