**Mechanical Project Engineer - Permanent - Defence & Commercial Projects**

A well-established mechanical and electrical services company are actively looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer for their expanding Suffolk office. The position will be working in the Defence and Commercial sector.
As the Mechanical Project Engineer, you will be responsible to ensure the project is completed according to schedule and budget undertaking effective planning to make sure the projects completed are profitable.
Ideally you will need to have previous experience of MOD/RAF/MOJ projects and a good track record of managing demanding mechanical projects within commercial, office and residential sectors.
Successful applicants will have the following qualifications and experience:

- Close management of the site supervisors and direct employees on site
- Management of the H&S elements of the project ie review of RAMS, production of RAMS, site inspections, management of the H&S site file and ensure the site supervisor is carrying out the company processes in line with the SSoW and SoPs.
- Responsibility of all on-site installation
- Strong customer facing skills and excellent communication is essential
- Experience and knowledge around CIBSE & BSRIA approved codes of practice
- Knowledge of procurement and meeting better buy targets
- Financial responsibility on project spends
- Liaison and management of all sub-contractors
- Strong technical background in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Controls
- Overall knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of mechanical systems and their installation methods
- Time Served Apprentice or relevant Mechanical qualifications
- SMSTS
