Nightshift Stock Controller

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:
Managing the planning, coordination and control of the warehouse team and daily activities; ensuring that all tasks are carried out efficiently and effectively.
**Duties**:
- Delegating appropriate tasks to colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the warehouse
- Integrate and work closely with other aspects and functions of the business.
- Undertake receipt and checking of incoming stock - ensuring quality of product is of acceptable level and correctly located within the warehouse. Any issues to be reported to your manager.
- Pick customer orders ensuring each product is of the desired quality for the customer.
- Dispatch outgoing orders onto the appropriate transportation
- Assist with regular stock takes as required
- Completing relevant daily paperwork
- Undertake forklift truck duties as required, ensuring daily safety checks are conducted thoroughly and company warehouse guidelines observed.
- Ensure all stock is stored, handled and transported securely (and in line with company procedures, food hygiene legislation and health and safety guidelines).
- Provide a professional, courteous and efficient service within the warehouse at all times.
- Report any discrepancies regards to purchase orders and stock to your Operations Manager
- Raise any concerns to the Operations Manager
- Perform any other duties required

- You are required to take appropriate action in the case of anything which may compromise the safety, quality or legality of the food we handle. This may include pest contamination, foreign body contamination, incorrect labelling or deteriorating product as examples, although this list is not exhaustive. This includes all incidences where issues are raised to you by team members.
**Health and Safety**
- Under the Health and Safety at Work Act, all employees are required both to take care of their own Health and Safety and that of other employees, and to cooperate with their employers in complying with their statutory duties
- Follow the training you have received when using any work items your employer has given you.
- Co-operate with others on health and safety, and not interfere with or misuse anything provided for your health, safety or welfare.
- Recognise that non-compliance with Health and Safety requirements has a significant impact on production and may lead to prosecution of individuals and/or organisation.
- Ensure that the correct issued PPE is worn around the site factory (e.g. Safety footwear, High Vis Vest etc)
