**Air Ground Operator**

**2Excel Engineering, Lasham Airfield, Hampshire**

**Zero hour contract (competitive hourly rate, dependant on experience)**

Established in 2015 and building on more than 60 years of engineering excellence, 2Excel Engineering is a Maintenance and Repair Organisation (MRO) based in Hampshire, delivering service-orientated narrow body Boeing and Airbus maintenance to Operators and Owners, Leasing Companies and Governments.

We are currently looking to appoint an Air-Ground Operator on a zero-hour basis. Reporting to the Airfield Operations manager we are seeking an Air-Ground Operator to be available to support the company and customer flying programme at Lasham Airfield, Hampshire.

There is a potential for movements 7 days’ a week but it is likely the majority of work will be between Mondays and Fridays.

**The day-to-day duties will include but not be limited to**:

- Be able to self-brief on all relevant airfield, operational and meteorological information before opening watch.
- Provide an Air-Ground Communication service.
- Coordinate the movements of aircraft at Lasham with local ATSUs.
- Create, update and promulgate unofficial weather observations.
- Act as a central hub for communications regarding the 2Excel Engineering flying programme when on watch.
- React rapidly in accordance with procedures in response to incidents or accidents.

**The successful applicant will have the following skills, knowledge and experience**:

- High levels of flexibility.
- Ability to be on site within 1-hour of being called if required.
- Ability to remain on site or in close vicinity for extended periods of time.
- Hold an ROCC or be willing to obtain one (fully funded).
- A capacity to work alone and make quality, independent decisions.
- Ability to communicate clearly and unambiguously.
- UK Driving license.

This role if offered on a zero-hour basis and it is likely that working hours and number of movements will vary. We anticipate the post holder attending a minimum of 3 movements per 90-day period.
