**JOB TITLE**: In Memory Fundraiser

**BASE**: Home-based

**DEPARTMENT**: Income Generation & Engagement

**REPORTING TO**: Regional Fundraising Manager

**Overall purpose of the role**:
Grow In Memory giving activity and income through donations, collections, campaigns and programmes such as tribute funds. To ensure effective delivery of the In Memory fundraising strategy. Building strong relationships with existing supporters, recruiting new support and developing strong relationships with funeral directors across the North West.

**Main duties and responsibilities**:

- Work closely with the regional fundraising manager to establish a robust In Memory Giving strategy, to maximise retention of donors and increase their giving to hit income target and meet KPI’s and objectives
- Manage enquiries from families who want to support the charity either through making a donation or fundraising through our In Memory offering
- Develop stewardship programme for bereaved families with focus on a longer term engagement to maintain relationships that encourage further support
- Create an offering for funeral directors to engage and establish strong long lasting relationships through regular communication and a specific stewardship programme
- Manage volunteers to support with funeral directors programme to build and maintain relationships
- Develop and administer our Tribute Fund scheme and maintain excellent relationship with donors
- Create, execute, and evaluate campaigns to increase the number of In Memory supporters
- Develop new and innovative products to help maximise income and retain support
- Ensure that accurate and complete records are kept in line with the organisation’s confidentiality regulations and data base requirements

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**
Essential

**Qualifications**:

- 5 x GCSE passes including Maths and English
- Fundraising Qualification

Experience
- Experience in a Community Fundraising role
- Experience of achieving fundraising targets
- Database management
- Working within the guidelines of the Institute of Fundraising code of practice
- Professional fundraising experience

**Skills**:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Presentation skills including being able to engage a wide range of audiences
- Relationship building
- Budget management and financial forecasting
- Develop and deliver operational plans
- Numerate
