Having a good level of understanding of the audit process and experience in participating in customer and BRC/M&S audits would be advantageous. You must be a good communicator who is able to make quick and reasoned decisions as well as proficient in Microsoft Office packages. A strong QA background is desirable for this role as well as being punctual, proactive, and reliable with the ability to lead, guide, and motivate others towards achievement.

Reporting to the Technical Manager the QA Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the QA department and be responsible for delivering high levels of GMP, food safety and integrity standards. To support the administrative aspect of the technical department in the areas of QMS, HACCP, Legislation, Specifications, and Traceability. You will also be responsible for:

- Complete objectives set by the Technical Manager to ensure completion within agreed timescales.
- Work closely with the Production teams monitoring and ensuring that all aspects of the Quality on the factory floor are adhered to.
- Responsible for the maintenance, creation, implementation and adherence of all policies and procedures that form the Quality Management System. Ensuring that the quality system is consistently followed in practice.
- Supervise the quality function, to ensure compliance with all legal requirements, current legislation SALSA and BEIC Standards and Customer Codes of Practice.
- To oversee shelf-life and micro-testing samples as well as raw materials and finished product testing.
- Coordinate non-conformance findings including actions taken and report to relevant department managers ensuring completion of any required corrective actions.
- Oversee on-site pest control visits and resolve any action points.
- Oversee the maintenance of calibration, and foreign body systems i.e., Glass & Hard plastics systems, etc.
- Coordinate QA activities ensuring both sites are always ready for internal and external audits.
- To operate in a safe working manner and support the business in continuous improvement relating to health, safety, and the environment.

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
