We have an exciting **full-time** opportunity for an enthusiastic fitter / site delivery driver to join Yarwoods Excavator Attachments Ltd., a growing three-depot specialist plant hire business based outside Airdrie, North Lanarkshire.

This is a **permanent** position and is a varied role offering a mix of driving, on-site installing / fitting / fault finding as well as hands - on maintenance work within the busy workshops and reporting directly to the Depot Manager.

The role will involve:

- Providing a safe, efficient and reliable delivery & collection service for our hire fleet equipment to and from our valued hire customers, whilst upholding the Company’s integrity and image to all customers during the course of your working day.
- Being responsible for carrying out daily / weekly vehicle checks as well as the safe loading and unloading of Company vehicles, ensuring that all equipment and orders are correct before leaving the depot.
- Keeping accurate records e.g. pre-delivery inspections and returns inspection of plant, records of works carried out and parts used, including signatures from the customers, have all been completed before leaving the customers site or premises.
- Unloading and then installing our equipment onto our customer machines and running a number of basic installation checks.
- You will also be expected to demonstration our hire equipment to customers who may have a little less product knowledge than others.
- Assist in the PDI’ing, Servicing & Repairing of Hire equipment and ensuring all equipment is sent out serviced, clean (and where necessary painted), and on time in order to present a positive image to our customers.
- Attend on-site breakdowns /call outs where necessary.

You will..
- Have previous experience in a customer facing role and enjoy building relationships with clients.
- Be proactive, polite, professional and articulate; a diplomatic communicator.
- Work well under pressure, have the ability to use initiative and retain a high level of accuracy and retain a positive attitude to customer service.
- Hold a full HGV ‘C’ (18t) driving licence or bigger.
- Hold in date Digital Tacho Card and full Driver CPC qualifications.
- Pay good attention to detail.
- Have a flexible approach to changing workload and organisational demands and hence working hours.
- Comply with delegated responsibilities in the areas of Safety, Health and Welfare and have a proactive approach towards the reduction / elimination of accidents and dangerous occurrences in the workplace.
- Be physically capable of loading and unloading a vehicle.
- Have experience in working both alone and as part of a team.

**Desirable**

Have a hands-on mechanical and hydraulic or hydraulic and electrical experience on Plant within both workshop and field environment.
