Auction Assistant

We are one of Scotlands leading Independent Auction Rooms & sell a wide range of Furniture, Porcelain, Militaria, Books, Jewellery, etc across the globe. We provide a professional service to clients whether buying or selling antiques & collectables, a family-run business for nearly 50 years with an excellent reputation throughout the UK & beyond.

The applicant will be assisting in photographing & preparing the auctions, learning to catalogue porcelain sales - all training provided, no experience necessary, working the computer systems on auction day - onsite training provided. They must be able to lift & carry furniture and other items between salerooms & storage rooms, help empty or load haulage vans, etc. They will be working as part of a small team or eventually on their own so must be able to work with mínimal supervision. They will also be helping our customers as & when required. They will be expected to assist other members of staff as & when the need arises. Some computer work may also be required.

**Salary**: £10.20-£11.00 per hour
