Head of Medical

**ROLE TITLE: HEAD OF MEDICAL**
- Manage the Medical practice across the club’s performance teams.
- To Conduct Player Medicals when required.
- Lead the process for all medical related matters, including any assessment or treatment to 1st Team Players
- Attendance at all 1st team match days (Home and Away) providing the required on-field support.
- Develop and implement comprehensive rehabilitation programs.
- Develop and implement injury prevention protocols, with regular review of such protocols.
- Ensure all relevant staff members are clearly communicated to on a regular basis with regards to all medical issues andinjuries.
- Responsibility for the management of the Medical budget
- Source and organize the club doctor provision at training and matches as required.
- End of day, week, season player reports

1.Qualifications
- Physiotherapy or Sports Therapy related Degree.
- FA Level 4 ITMMiF.
- Registered Physiotherapist member of the Health and Care Professions Council.
- FA Level 5 ATMMiF.
- Relevant post-graduate qualification.

2. Experience
- At least 2 years’ experience working in professional football.
- Match day/ pitch side medical experience.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure andunsupervised.
- Ability to work effectively within amultidisciplinary team.
- At least 2 years’ experience working in a 1st team environment.
- Experience Managing a Medical Department.
- Established network of contacts both in sport and the medical industries.

3. Training and specialist skills
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Package.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to analyse and interpret data.
- Excellent levels of communication.
- Exhibit good levels of clinical reasoning.
- Effective use of data visulation.

4. Personal qualities
- Team player.
- Excellent levels of communication.
- Excellent organisational skills & time keeping.
- Motivated to work unsociable hours.
