Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Trade Assistant to join our 50+ year old building supplies merchant here in Burton On Trent. We have a fantastic opportunity for a energetic, driven person to join our very talented team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Serving the customers at the trade counter and assisting.
- Build relationships with our customers to create a 5 star experience.
- Manage phone enquiries and correspondence.
- Negotiating prices with customers and suppliers.
- Answering the phone and dealing with the customers.
- Raising and chasing quotations and sales tickets.
- Supporting with the maintenance of the shop stock.

**Experience**:

- Proven organisational skills.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficient in phone etiquette and customer service practices.
- Basic maths skills for trade calculations.
- Prior experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
