Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer in Neuroscience with interests in discovery research on normal brain function, neurological disorders, neurodegenerative disease and/or mental health. You will join a division with strengths in Sensory & Motor Systems, Circadian biology, Brain Disorders and Neuroinflammation. The division has numerous established clinical collaborations including in stroke, brain tumours, Parkinson’s, vascular dementia, epilepsy, and mental health, making for a dynamic and translational research environment. The Division also uses a variety of model systems and has access to excellent Drosophila and animal facilities in addition to state-of-the-art core facilities. Researchers will also have access to human tissue via the Manchester Brain Bank.

The purpose of the post is to undertake high quality research and excellent teaching. The successful applicant will have a track record of publishing high quality outputs. The ability to enhance teaching activities within our UG/PG programmes will also be expected.
