Composite Trimmer/fitter

Piran Composites are an advanced carbon fibre manufacturing company producing high specification components and structures for aerospace and defence OEMs. We are seeking an experienced composite trimmer/fitter to undertake a variety of tasks within the production environment, a minimum of 5 years experience of composite trimming and fitting within aerospace, motorsport, etc. is preferred. Some examples of the tasks you will be performing below:
**Main Tasks of the Job**
- Hand trimming and bonding a variety of carbon composite components to a very high degree of accuracy and quality
- Read and interpret technical engineering drawings including fits and tolerances
- Bonding of ultra lightweight composite aero structures
- Follow work instructions, engineering manuals and customer specifications
- Ensure parts meet the required customer quality and traceability standards
- Work within Health and Safety guidelines at all times
- Use and maintain all supplied personal protective equipment in good condition
- Maintain all company tools and equipment in a safe and clean workable condition
- Working to achieve production and quality targets set for the department
- Report non-conformities and quality related issues to the Production Engineer
- Being able to laminate pre-preg composite components is advantageous

**Salary**: £14.00-£19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
