We're on the lookout for a Trading Standards Officer for our well-established client in Oxford on a temporary basis for 3 months
**About the role**:
As a Trading Standards Officer, you will be responsible for:

- Contribute to the planning, implementation and review of operational policies and priorities.
- Undertake enforcement duties to ensure agreed objectives and operational plans are met.
- Contribute to the planning, implementation and review of project work and activities.
- Act as lead officer and manage or contribute to allocated projects or key tasks to help the Service secure collective responsibility for delivery of its Business Plan.
- Supervise and guide the work of allocated staff.
- Assist in the identification of staff training and development needs in line with approved policies.
- Assist in the training of other staff.
- Prepare reports on unfair trading practices or alleged offences, recommending action as appropriate.
- Provide advice and guidance to consumers and traders in accordance with agreed policies and provide a good level of customer service.
- Manage devolved budgets.
- Identify opportunities for effectively promoting the Service's activities, including media initiatives. Represent the Service when required.
- Undertake the duties of a Health and Safety Supervisor when appropriate.
- Undertake other appropriate duties.

**Working Hours**:09:00am to 17:00pm
**Hourly rate**:£26
**About You**:

- Diploma in Trading standards
- Full driving license
- Excellent communication skills
- Supervisory and leadership skills
