As a result of promotion, we have a vacancy for a full-time band 6 orthoptist. Students qualifying in Summer 2023 are invited to apply, but would be appointed at band 5 for the first year. Ophthalmology services in Southampton are expanding rapidly, and this is an exciting time to join our unit, with a wide variety of clinical orthoptics, and opportunities for development into extended roles.

You will be joining a friendly and supportive team of 13 orthoptists, working closely with three paediatric ophthalmologists, an ocular motility specialist, a neuro-ophthalmologist, optometrists, vision scientists and a dedicated reception and administration team.
