**Main Purpose**
Glen Dimplex Group is a world leader in intelligent electric heating and renewable energy solutions, as well as holding significant global market positions in domestic appliances, cooling, and ventilation. We are engaged in developing industry leading solutions in all the sectors in which we operate.
GDHV are looking to recruit two Technical Trainers to support our strategy, enabling the Business to grow by fully equipping our Customers, Staff, Installers and Consumers with the technical knowledge they require on our full product range. Utilising our best-in-class Training Academy you will be an experienced technical trainer who displays a genuine enthusiasm for training and a passion for sharing knowledge to motivate and help others develop.
**Responsibilities**
- Deliver technical training to Specifiers, Architects, GDHV Customers, Installers and service partners as required across Great Britain and, where required, to the wider GDHV network, ensuring the training is relevant and accurate and meets the needs of the audience
- Create a blend of different approaches to ensure trainees knowledge is enhanced to the fullest; in house, on-site, live-streaming, face to face, meet the expert and other creative means as required.
- Focus on the effective delivery of the Academy training programs, managing your own processes from the nature of the training methods to the content provided.
- Keep up to date with Industry issues that have an impact on or affect the GDHV training offer.
- Work closely with Regional Teams, Maintenance, and Sales to identify and meet customers, product, installation, and service technical training needs
- Supporting the whole training team with the development and upkeep of the Training Centres to ensure that centres and mobile units are up to date with relevant training equipment and the tools required.
- Deliver Non-Technical skills training when required to support the wider training team
- Review training material following changes in legislation, customer requirements and technology.
- Ensure that all training records are kept in accordance with the training Academy Records Procedure.
- Provide regular and timely updates/ feedback direct to line manager.
- Ensure all training activities and materials meet with relevant GDHV policies, including health and safety, employment, and equality laws
- Take ownership, manage, and prioritise your own workload, escalating where appropriate
- Fully embrace Treating customers fairly and conduct business in a manner which conforms to this.
- Fully embrace company values to ensure they are embedded in day-to-day activities
- To understand GDPR regulations and ensure that the regulations are adhered to
**Skills, Knowledge and Experience**
**ESSENTIAL**
- You will have experience working within a Learning and Development or training role coupled with knowledge of Heating and ventilation products. Alternatively, you may have a wealth of practical knowledge of Heating systems and the passion to want to share this knowledge through training and development.
- Driven and focused heating ventilation professional with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain relationships internally and externally at all levels?
- Display a genuine enthusiasm for training and a passion for assisting others.
- Ability to work on tight deadlines whilst managing conflicting demands and priorities.
- You will have some or all the qualifications relevant to the role and industry such as Electrical Engineering, HND in Heating Systems, G3 Water Regulations, Energy Efficiency for Domestic Heating Hot Water Systems, BPEC Ventilation, F gas, together with training qualifications
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to convey complex information in a way that people understand and to adapt training and training style to various job roles and levels of knowledge.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Effective research and technical writing skills.
- A commitment to continuous improvement both personally and for the role.
- Willingness to travel nationally to deliver training/coaching or promotion of our products ranges as required.
- Willingness to travel internationally to attend work-related training and events.
- Willingness to up-skill in all areas of training, technical, system and product knowledge as required.
