Food Manufacturing

A food manufacturing company are looking to recruit a Quality Technician on a 12 month fixed term contract, working on a 4 on 4 off days & nights shift pattern. Supporting the production and quality team on quality standards, internal auditing and trainingof Operatives on food hygiene and safety standards. You will have experience working within a food manufacturing environment with a strong understanding of BRC, Food Safety & Hygiene standards.

As a Quality Technician your day-to-day responsibilities will consist of.
- Support the Production teams, so they ensure and maintain high levels of food quality and safety standards.
- Analyse hygiene, quality and food safety indicators and alert in case of any deviation.
- Propose and lead action plans to resolve quality and food safety issues impacting the business.
- Participate and lead process improvement topics.
- Train the team of trainers and machine operators on quality, food safety, hygiene, and legal topics.
- Ensure work areas, machines and equipment are cleaned to a high standard and waste is disposed of as per the Company's policy.
- Create and maintain detailed documented records to ensure the future clarity of processes and outcomes.
- Produce a good, consistent, safe, and traceable product in a clean environment by trained operators for its consumers to enjoy.

An exciting opportunity for a Quality Technician with the following.
- Previous experience working within a Food/FMCG manufacturing within a quality environment.
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene, HACCP and BRC standards.
- Confident in conducting internal audits and microbiology testing.
- Have the ability to prioritise tasks and organise your working time.
- Be flexible and adaptable with the ability to take prompt decisive action.
- A background of training and developing Operatives.
- Working 4 on 4 off days & nights.
